Favorite Spring Sweater
Hey friends, I hope you’re having a great week! Things here have been busy as I get ready for my first trip to the NRA Annual Meeting in Indianapolis this weekend! I’m excited to see the exhibits and… the FASHION SHOW! (Stay tuned for more on that).
During full weeks like this, I like to take advantage of my favorite, “go to” pieces, that are quick and easy to style. Because it’s so versatile, this sweater has been worn on repeat! It’s become my “knit of choice” for running errands and lounging around the house. It’s also taken the place of my athletic zip up when I go to yoga. Basically, I’m wearing it everywhere.
I wrote about this top a while back but I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on it both on and off-line, so I wanted to share another way to style it.
Also, in the spirit of full disclosure, I have new information to share. Some reviews of this top on Amazon said the sleeves pulled apart at the seams. After a couple washings, this did indeed happen to me. The separation started at the wrist, making a rip about an inch and a half in length.
So, I took it off and hand-sewed it back together, which turned out to be a simple task. Since making the mend, I’ve worn it a handful of times with no problems.
I wanted to be open with you ladies because I know you work hard for your money and need to know what you’re buying! For me, I still think it’s a great sweater and don’t mind reinforcing the stitching.
In fact, I’m probably going to be getting it in another color. I’m thinking either khaki or grey, what do you think? Comment below! :)
